It was our first B&B and it will not be our last. Everyone was extremely responsive, including Walter! His demeanor was a welcome invitation and embodied the expectations of staying in such a grand place and a historic city. We arrived in the evening around 6pm and were immediately greeted and welcomed by Walter. The concierge staff were always available and very friendly. The room was above and beyond what we have seen from images on the web. We were initially drawn in by the images but to actually be inside the superior room was overwhelming. I felt like I had been there before and have never felt more excited to get back to the Gastonian after a long day touring the city. To have such a great experience our first time out speaks volumes of the service and character of the entire staff. Overall, from the greenery lightly painting the outside decor to the smell of delectable treats in the common area to the earnest staff at our service, we will always remember our weekend at the Gastonian. Thanks to Walter and Lucy, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed at the Gastonian to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and we could not have made a more perfect choice. Our visit at the Gastonian was perfect - we didn't want to leave. The staff was amazing, especially Lucie and Walter. Lucie booked any tours we had in mind, made our dinner reservations, etc. and she did it all very graciously. Walter was very kind and helpful, and allowed us to celebrate our anniversary on the balcony instead of our room. He went all the way, setting up our table, bringing the champagne, etc. When he did our turn down service the next night, he put the remainder of the rose petals on our bed as a sweet surprise. Everyone was very accomodating and willing to help, and they did it all with a smile. The location of the Gastonian was perfect! We didn't use our car once, and everything - the river, Forsyth Park, restaurants, galleries, cafes and tons of other parks - were all close by. We had an amazing time in Savannah, but it wouldn't have been as possible had we not stayed at the quaint, cozy and charming Gastonian - much better than a hotel!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Gastonian for our honeymoon. We are from the area but never get to enjoy the city fully. It was a great escape. The staff was very helpful with reservations. From the moment that we checked in the staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was great, as well. We can't wait to stay again and are already recommending the B&B to as many people as we know. Thank you for making our little vacation so wonderful!

We loved our stay at the Gastonian. There is no way you could improve upon the service, accomodations and atmosphere. Walter and Pamela welcomed us warmly and Pamela provided some very good recommendations for dinners and tours. The staff in the kitchen for breakfast were cheerful and made delicious meals. Our room was lovely with beautiful appointments and we especially enjoyed the fireplace. We enjoyed meeting other guests at breakfast and over evening cordials. Our stay at the Gastonian set a very high bar to which accomodations for the balance of our trip could not reach. We loved Savannah and the location of the Gastonian made for easy walking throughout the city. We heard about the Gastonian through "1000 Places to See Before You Die" and the recommendation was a great one!

The Staff was very warm and friendly from Laura which was our inkeeper when we arrived, to most specially Walter, a very helpful and friendly young man who always had a smile . It made my husband and I feel very hospitable and we will definitely be back. The B & B was beautiful and our room was very comfortable and romantic, specially with the fire place(which was on because it was cold). We loved Savannah, and will be back!!

This was truly a wonderful experience! Loved the city and your Inn. Making the reservation online can always be a surprise once we arrive, but this time it was just as expected.....even better. Loved the staff, so cordial, always willing to help with anything. The food was great and the accomodations were perfect. This is truly a place I would visit again should I come that way. Thank you for making this a most memorable experience for us.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The caracalla suite is unbelievable - what a treat to stay in a room like that. The woman who works at the front desk in the afternoons and evenings was very helpful in making dinner reservations and answering our questions regarding Savannah. The bellman (Walter???) was also extremely helpful. If we ever return to Savannah, we are definitely staying at the Gastonian.

We found the features of staying at the Gastonian very inviting and certainly would consider The Gastonian in our future visits to Savannah. It was an exquisite experience. It felt like we were staying not at an inn but an old friend's house. The staff was courteous and the atmosphere was comforting. The evening cordials were an enjoyable way to end the day and the breakfast was absolutley wonderful. To sum-up the atmosphere with one word: intimate. I highly recommend The Gastonian to anyone passing through Savannah or to locals just looking to get away from the daily grind without having to go very far.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Savannah and stayed at The Gastonian. We were very happy with the room, the service and the whole experience of Savannah. I would highly recommend The Gastonian to anyone, in fact I have already. I'm so ready to go back!

Our stay at The Gastonian last weekend was wonderful! We have stayed at other B&B's in Savannah, and this was by far our favorite. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast Sunday morning on the veranda with our friends who were also staying there. Walter and the rest of the staff were very helpful. This will be the ONLY place we stay when we come back.

Our stay at the Gastonian was perfect! Having visited many B & B's throughout the country, it was by far one of our favorites. Staying in the Juliet Lowe room gave us the opportunity to have breakfast on the veranda....white tablecloth and all! The individualized breakfasts, afternoon tea and dessert and cordials at night made for a wonderful time to visit with the other guests. The service was excellent. We will be back.

Everything was beautiful. We loved staying in the Carriage House and being away from all of the business of downtown, yet right down the street from Forsyth Park. When we did want to check out the shops though, it was a beautiful walk down Bull St. through all of the squares. If we're ever lucky enough to come back, we'd definitely stay at the Gastonian again. Chris was a great help to us the first night in figuring out where to go to dinner and arranging a ride for us there.

Our stay was fabulous. The Inn and the ammenities, food and service was the best we have experienced.

Outstanding breakfasts! How do you make those scrambled eggs taste so good! Also enjoyed the afternoon tea and wine gatherings. Great room within easy distance to city center and dining. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

The staff at the Gastonian were terrific! A young man that carried up our luggage was one of the best employees that we have encountered. We have traveled the world and he will always be remembered as the one who made our stay most memorable. Thank you!
