Savannah Gastonian

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

My wife and I did a three night stay at the Gastonian bed and breakfast. We stayed in the carriage house, which was behind the main building. A perfect spot with a nice private seating area on the first floor and a spacious second floor with a private balcony that over looked the courtyard. Breakfast every morning was excellent and the biscuits were amazing. My wife loved them so much she asked for the recipe. They also offered hors d’oeuvres in the evening with wine, and ended the night with a sweet treat and cordial. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. As first timers they were generous with giving suggestions of all the great food and places to visit in the area. It is a beautiful location and very walkable to all the great places that Savannah has to offer. We highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful B&B

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

Great B & B in old mansion with antiques everywhere. Room was spacious and lovely Staff was attentive and helpful. Happy hour at 5 without extra cost and port and dessert at 8 before bed. A lovely experience. Would highly recommend. They feed you a good breakfast in the morning in the dining room or brought to you in your room. Perfect romantic feel. Walking distance to park.

A Long Weekend Stay at The Gastonian

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

The Gastonian is a very nice historic Bed and Breakfast in Savannah, Ga. They have 17 rooms and situated within minutes of most sites to see. The staff at The Gastonian were exceptional ... friendly, always willing to help, courtious and knowledgeable about Savannah, restaurants and sites. We were in Savannah for 4 nights and enjoyed several excellent tours arranged by The Gastonian. Highly recommend them for other travelers. We also recommend Noble Jones Tours with our guide Ed Pyrch. who is an archetect by education and work experience. We also liked going out to Bonaventure Cemetery, the SCAD Museum and just walking around the historic district.

Charming B&B in a charming city

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

My husband and I stayed at The Gastonian for our two nights in Savannah. My preferred room, The Carriage House, was not available both nights. So I knowingly booked one night in the main house and one in the carriage house.

Well, in hindsight I’m so glad I did! Both rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the staff was awesome about making it easy for us to switch. They just told us to leave our bags packed in our first room, and they moved everything for us while we were out sightseeing.

The staff was actually great overall, storing our wine and snacks in the fridge for us, making sure we had enough to eat and drink at the plentiful happy hour, and just being generally helpful.

Breakfast was also very yummy. The biscuits were to die for. I’d be happy to stay at The Gastonian again anytime, and have already been talking it up to our friends.

From the moment we arrived til when we left. Everything was about making sure we were taken care of. The staff was very cheerful and made you truly feel you were a special guest. Lot of charm in this historic inn, as well as the staff.
